I was introduced to middle eastern dance late in 1999, and started lessons in winter of 2000. Through a strange twist of fate (and since virtually all events happen for a reason, in my opinion), an injury in dance class in Dec. 2000, as well as some other health conditions, eventually led to my discovery of American Tribal Style

An opportunity came along in 2004 to form a tribal dance group, and since my injury and health conditions made it difficult for me to continue learning and performing cabaret-style dancing, I looked to tribal dancing as a possible alternative.

With virtually no knowledge of the style itself, I plunged into the group, mostly comprised of women I didn't know, and eventually Totally Northern Tribal was born. Tribal dance connects with me at a deeper level than any other dance style I ever done, and I enjoy the camaraderie of my tribal sisters.

Outside of dance, I am a leader within the Twin Cities wiccan/pagan community, teaching introductory and advanced Wicca. I am now working on ministerial credentials through the Well of Avalon Church.

I have the love and support of a wonderful husband, Russell, and the absolute love of our lives, our son Colin.
